This picture is the work of Eddie Thompson, an ILF user. Eddie didn't start painting until he was in his late 40s when members of his local branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society formed an art group.
Though naturally right-handed, but having to use his left hand due to MS, Eddie surprised himself by discovering a talent for art which even led to him enrolling in college and achieving a GCSE in Art.
Although interest in the art group gradually waned, Eddie was later encouraged to experiment with mouth painting. Although, at first, he found it difficult to make shapes with the brush in his mouth, Eddie was pleased with his initial efforts. Over the next few years the progress was enormous and Eddie has built up an impressive body of work. Indeed, some of his paintings have been displayed in his local art studio and others have been auctioned.
Eddie responded to our newsletter item asking for users with artistic talent to help us find artwork to adorn the walls of our office in Nottingham. He kindly donated the picture "In Search Of" (above, left) as a way of thanking the ILF for its support.
